Girish Puthenchery was a popular Malayalam Screenplay writer and lyricist. He had recently suffered a brain hemorrhage and passed away at the age of 48. He had several songs to his credit and wrote scripts for noted films. He wrote lyrics for more than 1500 songs. He will be greatly missed.
He won the best lyricist staet film award 7 times! Veteran Malayalam film director Kamal has said “I am at a loss to say anything. He used to say that he kept a separate pen to write for my films,” Girish was presently writing the script of a film called “Raman Police”.
The last rites are expected to take place near here Thursday.
